My Brain Needs to be Recovered: Trauma Week Day 4

Today was about dark water rescue and our speakers were named Bettey and Mike. They rescue people who are alive and recover people who are dead. They do this for criminal cases but most importantly family closure. Their department is funded by the sheriff's department. Water safety was enforced today as we learned wearing that wearing a life jacket is important as wearing a seatbelt and if you are 12 or under you must wear a life jacket. The most interesting thing learned today was about how dead bodies move through no water. Bodies darken in water, bodies float, go west toward the sea. Bodies float when you're dead because your lungs have oxygen, and when you are alive they fill with water. The way their job works is that they go send divers to go look for bodies, they can also use the sonar on their boats. Today was less informatory as the speakers loved to tell stories of their adventures to find these people and bodies. They said they hated duck hunter the most.
