In Biomed this week we continued with our telehealth labs, for these last two I was the primary physician and then the patient. While I was the virtual doctor my classmate was a child who had covid and her giveaway was that she was completely unvaccinated. While I was the patient I was Amish and caught off guard by the new technology. My diagnosis was also COVID-19 which was made worse by asthma. During these telehealth labs, I learned that this form of treatment was more effective than I thought, allowing doctors to have more flexible schedules, and see more patients.
Another part of this week was the class exploring different applications that can be used to make a slideshow. Mine was slidebean. Slidebean was pretty okay at best, the most interesting part was that an AI could edit slides for you, but all the nice templates and animations were only available after buying premium. Other than the AI edit it was essentially a worse version of Google Slides. The most interesting one to me was Emaze, which is a highly animated slide show that gave you a lot for the free version. While I think the highly animated parts would be a little distracting for the biomed presentations I think I could possibly use it. The only other usable one it seems was Prezi which seems to mix animation and professionalism ust correctly. Overall I think if I tried Emaze could be amazing.
