Over the course of November 6th and 7th we had a speaker from the Drug Education Council, Mrs. JB. The first day she was with us we also had people from Tennesse State University to look at the Bio-Medical Program, but they didn't do much; however, me being my brave self-answered the first question about the video we watched call "Nuggets." In this video essentially there was this bird that found nuggets and every time he found a nugget the bird would fly up high and then land. Over time the highs got less high, and the bird hit the ground harder, and the bird would walk slower over time. This video was to show what addiction does to people and how it eventually leads to the dark nothingness shown in the video. She then went on to show us a slide show and explain things about the brain and how young brains get hooked on drugs and nicotine easier than more mature ones. She also called the liquids in the joule pods for vapes E-Juice which I had never heard before, but I found it interesting. Despite the in-depth slide show none of the information stuck until we played a game of Jeopardy. My team would've proved victorious if it not for a buzzer mis push by one of my own kind, ANOTHER JOSH!!! Despite this miss hap the information tested in this game stuck better and reinforced the idea that, "dang this stuff is serious," then the slideshow that showed a person that had their mouth blown up by a janky vape pen. Information like one joule pod has the power of 20-40 cigarettes and fentanyl has the power 100 times that of morphine will be with me forever now so thank you Mrs. JB and I would love for her to come back and present for future Wildcats!
