Today we had speakers from the University of Mobile. One woman showed us how to take an IV and the other woman showed us how different lung conditions make different breathing sounds in a stethoscope. The breathing sounds were done by a manakin and the arm we stuck the IV in was also fake. Some of the sounds were really uncomfortable the one I hated the most was really high pitch and made my head hurt. The IV was a more entertaining experience we had to tie the tourniquet then we stuck the manakin in the proper way the blood came out. This was one of the more interactive experiences here so I really enjoyed it. It was also the first project with a college that wasn't South Alabama so that was nice.
